while "Bad Boys for Life" has a completely asinine story, generic action, predictable plot beats, moronic dialogue and truly reprehensible politics, I still had a good time
the third time really is the charm; It's impressive and enjoyable to behold how easily Will Smith and Martin Lawrence slide back into these characters and actually make them more accessible and fun to be around than before
in the end, "Bad Boys for Life" settles for being a surprisingly entertaining sequel (no more, but no less) that partially evolves the "Bad Boys" brand
bantering back and forth, Martin Lawrence and Will Smith manage to recreate some of their screen chemistry---though not enough to make anyone want to go on another bumpy ride
