It's the anniversary of Devalos's daughter's suicide. Allison dreams of the suicide note Arianna left behind and how Devalos found her suffocated by the exhaust fumes in her car. She awakes, startled by this and is surprised when she's called to Devalos's house before work. She's told that Devalos and his wife never knew why their daughter committed suicide - she never left a note. Allison wonders if her dream was wrong. That morning, someone left an anniversary card with Arianna's obituary in his mailbox and Allison realizes she's seen who it was having had a vision as she walked up to the door. The man turns out to be Michael Gerwin, a man Devalos defended in his younger days as a defense attorney. Michael was accused of drugging and raping a woman and suspected of having done so to many more. The case would have been a classic "He Said, She Said" but evidence anonymously turned up in the form of DVDs that documented all of the rapes Michael committed. He was recently released on parole after he supplied important information about a mob father that helped put him away. At first Michael denies any involvement with sending the card. He has no reason to hold a grudge against his former lawyer but then Allison dreams it was actually Devalos who leaked the DVDs to the prosecution. She figures Michael somehow found out and when another woman's apt is broekn into with cutouts of the obit placed in all the picture frams, Michael finally admits to Allison he wants to destroy Devalos's life like he destroyed his. Allison confronts Devalos of what she knows and he admits to breaking the law and sending those DVDs. He tells her that there was indeed a suicide note and in it Arianna tells him how Michael had raped her before Devalos was called into defend him. Not coming forward to prevent it from happening again, Arianna was overcome with guilt. Her father knew that Michael was going to be acquitted so he did the only thing he knew he could do. Michael probably figured it out when Arianna's obit came out. In the end, Arianna's ghost uses Bridget to help get justice and get rid of Michael forever. Devalos comes to clean to his wife about the note and awaits the consequences of the crime he committed for his daughter. Bridget is forced to work in the library to pay back overdue book fees and discovers an African prince in need of money, like the familiar email scam.
