Back at the ranch, Michael is still bummed out that his mother was sent home. The other players offer their condolences for Maria's elimination, but Michael remembers the harsh words a few of the players had to say at the weigh-in, when they accused Michael of not really wanting to be on the ranch to begin with.

The players meet with Ali to find out their next pop challenge. Ali tells the players they have to run a mile to grab a card key and run back; each card key they access will read on the computer screen a red "x" or a green check. The first team with three green checks is declared the winner.

All the teams continuously run back and forth hoping their card keys will grant them green check marks. The Red Team is the first to get three points and they win immunity for the week. Ali presents them with three mystery envelopes to open up. The envelopes are marked, "Two-Pound Disadvantage," "No Gym Access," and "No Elimination Vote." The Red Team has to decide who will get each card.

Lance and Melissa tell the rest of the players whom they have decided to give each envelope to and why. They give John the "No Gym Access" card because he likes working out outside. They give Michael the "No Elimination Vote" because they are afraid his voting will be personal this week, and they give the "Two-Pound Disadvantage" card to the Green Team -- which is met with an angry reaction.

Bob and Jillian are surprised about the choices the Red Team had to face. But, what is more important is Bob wanting to have a talk with the Red Team about their past two weigh-ins. Melissa accuses Bob of calling her a liar two weeks in a row and swears she's doing her best to lose weight while on the ranch.

Jillian and Bob take all the players outside for their workouts. Before Jillian can get started, she has a few words with Lance. Lance is still bitter over Jillian's attack on Melissa's credibility. Lance tells Jillian he refuses to work out with her anymore. Jillian confronts Melissa about the same situation and Melissa continues to defend herself.

The players meet with Ali at a construction site to hear about their challenge. Ali tells the players they will be hoisting each other 120 feet by pulling their own weight. The first team to the top of their platform wins a phone call from home. The team that wins will be able to give three other teams phone calls from home, as well.

After some tough competition, the Grey Team pulls through and wins the challenge and phone calls from home. Sam begins to cry at the thought of finally talking to his parents. The Grey Team chooses the Red Team, the Green Team, and the Brown Team's John to all get phone calls from home, as well.

The Grey, Red, and Green Teams along with John all place phone calls home and are instantly brought to tears by the sound of their loved ones. Each of the players promises their loved ones they are going to do to their best while on the ranch.

Bob puts a twist on the last-chance workout and takes his players outside for hiking. After the steep mountain climb, Bob orders the teams to start jogging the trails and pushes them hard. Even when the players want to stop, Bob encourages them to keep going.

Just when the players think they can't work out anymore, Bob hands them off to Jillian, who is waiting at the bottom of the hill. She gives the players weight training that involves teamwork. Both Bob and Jillian are getting comfortable training their players outside.

Jillian is challenging the players to go up a hill while pushing their teammates in a wheelbarrow. After the players keep losing their balance, tipping the wheelbarrows over, Jillian says the challenge is impossible. Sam and Koli are determined to prove her wrong. After a few more tries, succeed in getting up the hill.

The Red Team weighs in first because of their immunity. Melissa is surprised to lose 11 pounds, but Jillian isn't shocked. Bob is happy about Melissa's loss, but Jillian says to Bob that Melissa had to lose that much weight. Melissa continues to deny she's game-playing.

The final team to weigh in is the Green Team. They lose a total of five pounds and Melissa points out that their two-pound disadvantage wouldn't have mattered in the first place, they still would have been below the yellow line. Just as Migdalia tears up, Miggy tells her to not cry. Jillian cannot believe after all their talks, Miggy still thinks crying is a sign of weakness.

It is time for the players to decide whom to eliminate this week. Melissa points out that it is Miggy who brings all the negative vibes to the house and she should be eliminated. After a very close vote, the rest of the players eliminate Migdalia from the ranch.
