Arthur has a one-on-one conversation with his dad about last week's actions. Arthur tells Jesse he's willing to do whatever it takes to stay on the ranch, but Jay and Jennifer are still a threat. Arthur knows he needs to keep his mouth shut this week and just pull big numbers.

The Black and Red Teams meet with Ali to learn about their pop challenge. Each team will be tied together with rope. The first team to untie each other from the rope will be the only team to have access to the gym all week. Both teams know how crucial it is to win the challenge. The Red Team is the first to untie each other from the rope and claim victory.

Bob and Jillian are working out their Black Team without the gym. Both trainers notice negative energy and call out Hannah for her attitude. She says she feels the players don't have the same team effort and spirit as the Red Team does and that's why they lost the challenge. The rest of the players immediately get defensive over Hannah's comments.

Cara notices that Rulon is not giving his all in his workout. After they get in a heated argument inside the gym, she takes him outside. Rulon breaks down and admits the last six years has been all about giving up. Cara promises she won't give up on him. They end their conversation with a hug.

Justin and Jennifer have a friendly competition. Whoever jumps in the pool and swims a lap and back the fastest gets breakfast in bed served by the loser. Justin wins the challenge by a landslide, so the next morning, Jennifer brings a happy Justin a Subway breakfast sandwich in bed.

Later on that night, the players meet with Ali at the railroad tracks. Ali tells them that this week's challenge will have each team pushing a 24-ton train 8000 feet. Each team will also have to answer trivia questions along the way. When a team guesses the wrong answer, they'll lose seconds off their total time. The team with the best time overall will get to decide which player on the opposing side will sit out at the weigh-in.

The Black Team completes the course in two minutes and five seconds, and the Red Team completes the course in one minute and thirty-five seconds. Now it's time to see how both teams did with the trivia questions. The Black Team got four trivia questions wrong, adding one minute to their total time. The Red Team won the trivia part of the competition by one question, and therefore wins the challenge.

As Kaylee and Brett are working out, he asks her what's the one thing in her life that hurts the most. Kaylee breaks down, saying she can't accept herself for who she is. Brett tells her she can always make the change - now she has to accept that she can make her dreams come true.

Bob and Jillian challenge Arthur to do something he's been struggling with all season long, and that's his own strength. Jillian has Arthur push a giant four-by-four truck while she sits in the bed of the truck cheering him on. Arthur finally pushes the truck for a half mile all on his own while his teammates cheer him.

The Red Team weighs in first. When Rulon gets on the scale, Ali reminds him that he only has eight more pounds to lose before he reaches the goal of losing 100 pounds even. Rulon begins to cry at the thought of this accomplishment and acknowledges he's finally getting his life back on track. Rulon loses a total of 11 pounds this week!

After the Red Team weighs in, their final results are a weight loss of 63 pounds with a weight loss percentage of 2.68%. This means the Black Team has to lose a total of 52 pounds. Before the weigh-in for the Black Team, Ali wants to know which player the Red Team has chosen to sit out. They choose Irene.

The Black Team weighs in, feeling the pressure to lose that total of 52 pounds. But it isn't until the last player, Arthur, weighs in that they have reason to celebrate. Learning that Arthur lost a total of 20 pounds, his teammates immediately rush the stage to give him a big hug for helping them win the elimination.

The Red Team now has to face the daunting task of eliminating one of their own. Most of them have concluded they should eliminate Jay. Jay realizes why his team made this decision and Jennifer tearfully says goodbye to her father.
