The 'Boyz' songstress reportedly jets off to Los Angeles to 'cook up something great' with her former vocal group's songwriter Tayla Parx, who is also behind Ariana Grande's 'Thank U, Next'.

AceShowbiz - Jesy Nelson is seemingly determined to make her solo career back on track following the blackfishing controversy. The "Boyz" songstress has reportedly teamed up with Little Mix songwriter to save her career.

A source reported to The Sun on Thursday, January 27 that the 30-year-old singer worked together with her former girl group's songwriter Tayla Parx for her new single. "Jesy flew out to Los Angeles earlier this month and has been working with Tayla, who is a songwriter as well as an artist in her own right," spilled the insider.

The informant also claimed that Tayla "has an incredible track record when it comes to writing smash hits." The source noted that Jesy "is hopeful they will be able to cook up something great together."

"They knew each other via industry friends, so it seemed like a no-brainer to reach out and get her on board," the so-called inside source went on explaining. "It's been a tough few months for Jesy but it finally feels like things have turned a corner." Tayla is the brains behind some of Ariana Grande's biggest and naughtiest songs including "34+35", "Thank U, Next" and "7 Rings".

Jesy faced heavy backlash after she was accused of blackfishing in her "Boyz" music video. In the wake of the backlash, she insisted that she didn't mean it. "I'm very aware that I'm a white British woman. I've never said that I wasn't," she said.

"But I mean, like, I love Black culture. I love Black music. That's all I know. It's what I grew up on," Jesy added. She went on to elaborate, "The whole time I was in Little Mix I never got any of that. And then I came out of [the band] and people all of a sudden we're saying it. I wasn't on social media around that time, so I let my team [deal with it], because that was when I'd just left."

Earlier this month, Jesy teased her new project to her 8.6 million Instagram followers. She wrote, "Just a message to say I love you all so so much and I cannot wait to be able to show what I've been working on."
