Jussie Smollett's Alleged Attacker Demands Cops Return Confiscated Items

Abel Osundairo wants law enforcement to return his personal belongings previously seized in connection with alleged attack against the former 'Empire' actor.

AceShowbiz - Abel Osundairo, one of Jussie Smollett's alleged attackers, has called on Chicago Police Department officials to return a number of his personal belongings.

In new court documents, Abel, who, along with his brother Ola, was accused by the former "Empire" star of attacking him last year 2019, has demanded the return of a number of items that were seized when cops searched his home following the incident.

In the papers, obtained by TMZ, Abel highlights a black ski mask and a red hat - which the pair allegedly bought and used in the attack - along with two firearms, two iPhones, and five bottles of bleach.

Surveillance video from days before the apparent attack showed the Osundairo brothers buying the listed items and Jussie previously claimed his attackers were wearing ski masks. Authorities seized red hats when they raided the brothers' residence.

Abel also wants a script from "Empire" to be returned. He and Ola appeared on the show as extras.

According to the documents, Abel's lawyer, Gloria Schmidt, says her client has "been patient but has now been deprived of his personal property for over a year and there exists no good cause for any further delay in returning his items to him."

A special prosecutor in the case is now determining whether handing over the items would prejudice the case in any way.
