During their time together, the 'Malibu' singer and the 'Hunger Games' actor share several pet babies including seven dogs, two horses, two mini horses, three cats and a pig.

AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus will reportedly keep the pets she and Liam Hemsworth shared during their marriage as the pair embark on divorce proceedings.

The singer and actor announced their separation earlier this month, with Miley taking to Twitter on Thursday night (August 22) to set the record straight about rumours her infidelity was responsible for their split.

As the "Wrecking Ball" star and her former spouse start making their break-up official, a source close to the singer told TMZ she will keep the seven dogs, two horses, two mini horses, three cats and a pig that she and Liam looked after in their time together.

Despite the fact that Miley is the one that initiated the adoption of many of the animals, it was Liam who rescued them from the couple's house when wildfires spread through Malibu - with the "Mother's Daughter" singer praising her other half for her bravery during an interview with Howard Stern.

And while a new law in California means that parties can turn to a judge in a divorce to determine which of them is best suited to keep the pets, the insider said "The Hunger Games" star "won't contest animal custody."

The source added that Miley and Liam had a prenuptial agreement in place when they tied the knot last December, which keeps all their belongings separate, meaning there won't be too much arguing about who gets what in the divorce.
