AceShowbiz - Channing Tatum is about to enter the world of espionage. The "White House Down" actor has signed up to star in "Kingsman: The Golden Circle". He broke the news by posting on his social media accounts his take on the previously released poster teasing the return of Colin Firth's Harry Hart.
"My momma always told me the British gave us Southerners our good manners," read the poster that Tatum shared, with a pair of aviator glasses resting on top of the copy. He captioned it, "I'm about to get all up in that Golden Circle. #Kingsman."
Tatum's role is still unknown though. Sources say he was offered several roles, from supporting to cameos and it's unclear which part he ended up taking.
Tatum joins Taron Egerton who will reprise his role as Eggsy, and Mark Strong who will return as Eggsy's ally Merlin. Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, Pedro Pascal and Elton John have been rumored to star in the sequel to "Kingsman: The Secret Service" as well.
Matthew Vaughn is back at the helm and co-writes the script with Jane Goldman. The film is scheduled for release in the U.S. on June 16, 2017.
