The 'American Idol' alum clarifies her relationship with RCA Records after she revealed that her label forced her to collaborate with Luke in the past.

AceShowbiz - A few days ago, Kelly Clarkson caused quite a stir when she revealed in an interview that she collaborated with Dr. Luke in the past because her label "blackmailed" her. Now, she clarified her relationship with RCA Records in a Twitter post she shared on Tuesday, March 8.

Clarkson made it clear that she wasn't referring to the team she's currently working with in the recent chat with an Australian radio show. "Want to clarify that my current regime at @RCARecords is not the same one who forced me to work w/Dr. Luke," she wrote. "Peter Edge is rad & a good dude!"

Clarkson and Luke worked together on some of her biggest hits including "Since You Been Gone" and "Behind the Hazel Eyes". Last weekend, she told Australia's KIIS 106.5 that her label threatened they wouldn't release her album if she didn't collaborate with Luke. She also said that the producer, who's currently entangled in a legal battle with Kesha (formerly Ke$ha), wasn't a good person.

"He's a talented dude but he's just lied a lot," she explained. "I've run into a couple really bad situations. Musically, it's been really hard for me because he will just lie to people. It's like, 'What?' It makes the artist look bad. He's difficult to work with, kind of demeaning, it's kind of unfortunate."

Luke's representative later responded to Clarkson's comments about him by sharing an excerpt from Sony Music chief creative officer Clive Davis' memoir, "The Soundtrack of My Life". The part of the 2013 book details how the former "American Idol" winner and the 42-year-old musician got to work together.
