'I think that the Grammys had a different reason [for not nominating me], that I do not want to discuss ... and that's just between me and them,' the 'Super Bass' hitmaker says.

AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj doesn't harbor resentment towards the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States for being snubbed at its upcoming Grammy Awards. The raptress recently admitted she understood why she didn't get a nomination at the event.

"I think that the Grammys had a different reason [for not nominating me] that I do not want to discuss," she said in a new interview with the Associated Press. "And that's just between me and them."

Claiming that she respected the organization, the Young Money femcee believed, "I'll get a Grammy eventually. I'm not worried about it." She added, "I've gotten tons of awards and I believe when it's my time to get a Grammy, I'll get a Grammy."

"You do feel good when you get awards and accolades. Maybe if I had been doing this for 10 years and I thought like, 'Oh my god, I've put out 10 albums' - maybe it would have hurt my feelings. But I still feel so new that it's like, 'Charge it to the game.' It's part of the game."

Minaj went on saying, "I understand that artists and critics make a big deal over the Grammys. But when I go to my shows and I'm selling out arenas in London, and when I'm in Australia and Japan, there aren't any Grammys there." She continuned, "There are human beings who I've touched. There are human beings who are inspired by me, who I love dearly. And that's what my career is based on."

Contrary to the "American Idol" judge, her manager Cortez Bryant was upset that the Recording Academy skipped the Harajuku Barbie. "They was on some bulls*** for not nominating @NICKIMINAJ," he tweeted after congratulating his other artists, Lil Wayne and Drake , who earned some nominations.

Minaj wasn't the only artist who got snubbed by the Grammys this year for Justin Bieber experienced the same. His manager Scooter Braun expressed his disappointment on Twitter as writing, "The kid deserved it. Grammy board u blew it on this one. The hardest thing to do is transition, keep the train moving. the kid delivered. Huge succesful album, sold out tour, and won people over."

The Biebs himself responded to the snub in an interview with Billboard. "My whole life I've dreamed of winning a Grammy," he admitted. "At this point, the excitement of that has gone down. I'm more excited to just make great music for my fans. That's just something that if it happens, it happens."

The 2013 Grammy Awards will take place February 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Frank Ocean, Maroon 5 and Alicia Keys have just been added to performer lineup, which already included Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and more.
