AceShowbiz - The first trailer for Tom Hooper's "Les Miserables" has been leaked online in a form of bootleg footage. The low-quality video offers glimpses at Hugh Jackman's Jean Valjean who is pursued by Russell Crowe's Inspector Javert. It also features Anne Hathaway's tearful rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream".

Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, "Les Miserables" tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption - a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit.

Jackman plays ex-prisoner Valjean who is hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert after he breaks parole. When Valjen agrees to care for factory worker Fantine's young daughter, Cosette (Amanda Seyfried), their lives change forever.

The much awaited musical movie is also supported by a set of notable actors such as Helena Bonham Carter, Eddie Redmayne, Sacha Baron Cohen, Aaron Tveit, George Blagden and Samantha Barks. The film will make its way out onto theaters across the United States on December 14.
