Sofia Vergara would have to fulfill her promise of running around naked on Sunset Boulevard because her show 'Modern Family' is named best comedy.

AceShowbiz - Despite snubbed in the acting category, "Mad Men" took the ultimate victory at the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, August 29. Announced live from the Los Angeles' Nokia Theater, the wining of "Mad Men" over Outstanding Drama is the third time in a row since 2008.

"Mad Men" thus sent "Lost", "Breaking Bad", "Dexter", "True Blood" and "The Good Wife" to the curb. The AMC drama had given up the Lead Actor category to fellow AMC series' star Bryan Cranston earlier in the evening and Lead Actress to Kyra Sedgwick of "The Closer". But it did pocket a nod in the writing category for series creator Matthew Weiner.

Meanwhile, "Modern Family" continued its string of victories in the Outstanding Comedy category. The new ABC show had promised in its Emmys campaign earlier this month that cast Sofia Vergara would run naked down Los Angeles street if the show wins. Vergara who said she could not run due to bad knees, would now have to fulfill her mission by walking or assign a co-star to replace her as noted in the small asterisk.

On another announcement, "The Pacific" claimed the Best Miniseries over its sole competitor PBS' "Return to Cranford".
