British singer Lily Allen has been dumped by boyfriend Ed Simons of the band The Chemical Brothers two weeks after she lost their baby together.

Lily Allen has split from boyfriend Ed Simons.

The British singer reportedly has been dumped by The Chemical Brothers musician, leaving her very heart broken. While there has yet any confirmation from Lily's people, a friend of her was quoted as saying "Lily is really upset things haven't worked out for her and Ed."

Lily and Ed have been dating since September last year. She announced her pregnancy with their first child together back in December. Unfortunately, Lily suffered a miscarriage on January 16 and lost their unborn baby, which made it hard for the couple to maintain their relationship.

Battled their grief upon losing their baby, Lily and Ed took a 3,000 pounds-a-night holiday in the Maldives. It didn't work though and so Ed, according to The Sun, told Lily, "It's Over".

"They tried to make things work but couldn't. The miscarriage was a horrible experience for both of them - and in recent weeks the mood between them had been really strained," Lily's friend went on saying, adding that "She had talked about settling down for good and having a family. But there is a big age difference and the heartbreak they had to cope with was too much too early in their relationship."

Soon following their split, Lily however "is feeling fine," a friend of her told People. "She is throwing herself into her work on her new album and TV show."
