Jul 31, 2012At the start the movie appears to be in mandrin with english sub-titiles but it ends up being in english about 50% of the time. Very interesting story and well worth watching.

Feb 19, 2012A well-acted and poignant story of a little-known episode during the Rape of Nanking. The film didn't minimize the brutalities, but it didn't dwell on them. Instead, its realistic portrayal of the self-sacrifice of the Chinese prostitutes is a refreshingly human drama. A definitely "should see" cinema on this historical event.
