there's not a single moment of this lame new film that doesn't feel manufactured in such a corporate manner. Its not asking much that a thriller be scary or shocking. This one waffles between being predictable and absurd
it was inevitable that "Escape Room" would be a bad movie. The premise ("Find the clues or die") is too obvious, too easy, for anyone with real ambition to want to run with it. But at least it could have been fun-bad, not just boring-bad
