In the upcoming episode of NCIS, titled "No Good Deed," the team investigates the murder of a Navy petty officer who was working at a local soup kitchen. The victim, Petty Officer Second Class Sarah Davis, was found dead in the kitchen's freezer, and the evidence suggests that she was killed by a single gunshot to the head. As Gibbs and his team begin their investigation, they discover that Davis had been volunteering at the soup kitchen for several months, and she had recently been working on a project to help homeless veterans. The team also learns that Davis had been in a relationship with a fellow volunteer, a former Marine named John Miller. Miller is initially considered a suspect, but he denies any involvement in Davis' death.
