The Shack is a 2017 American Christian drama film directed by Stuart Hazeldine and written by John Fusco and Andrew Lanham, based on the 2007 novel of the same name by William P. Young. The film stars Sam Worthington, Octavia Spencer, Graham Greene, Tim McGraw, and Radha Mitchell. The film follows Mack Phillips (Worthington), a man who, after losing his daughter, receives a note inviting him to meet with God at the shack where she was murdered.
