Kong: Skull Island is an upcoming American monster film directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and written by Dan Gilroy, Max Borenstein, and Derek Connolly. The film is a reboot of the King Kong franchise and stars Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, John Goodman, and John C. Reilly. The film follows a group of explorers who travel to a remote island in the South Pacific and encounter the legendary giant ape, Kong. The film is scheduled to be released on March 10, 2017.
