Hidden Figures is an upcoming American biographical drama film directed by Theodore Melfi and written by Melfi and Allison Schroeder. The film stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monáe as Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson, three African-American mathematicians who worked at NASA during the Space Race. The film is based on the book of the same name by Margot Lee Shetterly. A teaser trailer for the film was released on October 5, 2016, and the full trailer was released on November 2, 2016.
