"The Middle" returns with a brand new episode, "The Middle 8.09," and it looks like it's going to be a doozy! In this preview, we see the Heck family dealing with the aftermath of Frankie's decision to quit her job. With Frankie out of the workforce, the family is going to have to adjust to a new financial reality. But it's not all bad news. Frankie is finally going to have some time to pursue her own interests, and she's already got a few things in mind. We'll also see Brick and Axl dealing with some new challenges of their own. Brick is struggling to fit in at school, and Axl is having trouble adjusting to college life. But even through all of the challenges, the Heck family always manages to find a way to laugh.
