Conviction is a procedural legal drama television series that premiered on NBC on October 3, 2016. The series follows the life of Hayes Morrison (Hayes MacArthur), a young lawyer who is trying to rebuild his life after being released from prison for a crime he did not commit. In the preview for episode 1.08, "The Good Fight," Hayes is tasked with defending a man who is accused of killing his wife. The case becomes personal for Hayes when he discovers that the victim was a friend of his from law school.
