"Designated Survivor" is an American political drama television series that premiered on ABC on September 21, 2016. The series stars Kiefer Sutherland as Tom Kirkman, a low-level cabinet member who becomes the President of the United States after a catastrophic attack kills all of his superiors. In the episode "1.07," Kirkman must deal with the aftermath of a terrorist attack on the White House, which leaves him wounded and several of his staff members dead.
