The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic horror television series created by Frank Darabont and based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. The series follows the lives of a group of survivors as they struggle to survive in a world overrun by zombies. The seventh season of the series premiered on October 23, 2016, and the third episode, titled "The Cell," aired on November 6, 2016. In this episode, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his group are captured by the Saviors, a group of ruthless scavengers led by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Rick is tortured by Negan, who forces him to watch as his son, Carl (Chandler Riggs), is nearly killed. The episode ends with Rick being forced to kneel before Negan and submit to his rule.
