The Real O'Neals is an American sitcom television series created by Dan Savage and his husband Terry Miller and starring Martha Plimpton and Jay R. Ferguson. The series follows Eileen O'Neal, a Catholic woman who is married to Pat O'Neal, a police officer. They are the parents of Kenny, a gay teenager, Shannon, a promiscuous and popular teenager, and Jimmy, a nerdy and kind teenager. In this preview for the twelfth episode of the first season, the family is getting ready for Christmas. Eileen is excited to host the family's annual Christmas party, but Pat is worried about the cost. Kenny is trying to find the perfect gift for his boyfriend, and Shannon is trying to find a way to impress her crush. Jimmy is just trying to avoid getting into any trouble.
