Glimpses of dark humor are seen everywhere in the snippet as the British star's character has awkward encounters with his elder self, played by "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm. Additionally, the video teases the young doctor's clumsy way in handling his patients.

In the upcoming miniseries based on semi-autobiographical short stories by Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov, "Mad Men" actor Hamm portrays a post-WWI doctor, who has "a series of bleakly comic exchanges with his younger self." The titular character depicter of the "Harry Potter" movie series, meanwhile, will tackle the younger version of the doctor.

May 19, 2012 11:05:07Sky Arts has tapped Jon Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe to lead the cast of its upcoming project, "A Young Doctor's Notebook". The British company confirmed that the two actors will play a Russian doctor at different ages in the miniseries, which is based on semi-autobiographical short stories by Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov.
The four-part comedy drama follows the titular doctor who's working in the small village of Muryovo at the dawn of the Russian Revolution in 1917. The Don Draper of "Mad Men" will portray the doctor, who has "a series of bleakly comic exchanges with his younger self," played by the Arthur Kipps of "The Woman in Black".
