'Witches of East End' Canceled by Lifetime After Two Seasons

"" won't be able to conjure magic spells again. Lifetime has canceled the supernatural drama series after two seasons, leaving some cliffhangers in the second season finale left unanswered.

Confirming the cancellation, the cast of the show took to Twitter to thank fans for their support all this time. Tatum wrote, "Not enough love in the world for the amazing cast, crew, writers and fans of #WitchesofEastEnd. This has been an incredible journey! I U." Rachel Boston tweeted, "Thank you to everyone who went on this extraordinary journey with us. Your love, kindness, and support is forever magic. #WitchesofEastEnd."

"" really knows how to conjure up magic to get a renewal from Lifetime. The network announces that it has picked up the new supernatural drama series for a 13-episode season 2 to air in 2014.

Lifetime builds anticipation for the upcoming premiere of its freshman "" with a new promo. Set to a cover of Yuna's "Come as You Are", the video is literally fiery with the main female characters leaving a trail of fire as they walk on a sandy beach. A blade and a pentagram, which is often associated with magic, are also seen in the teaser.

The new supernatural drama is based on Melissa de la Cruz's New York Times best-selling novel of the same title. It centers on the mysterious Beauchamp family: free-spirited artist Joanna () and her two grown daughters, wild-child bartender Freya ( Tatum) and shy librarian Ingrid (Rachel Boston), both of whom are unaware that they are gifted (and cursed) with a magical birthright.
