"" executive producer Andy Wilman is leaving the show, a month after host Jeremy Clarkson was fired by BBC. The British network confirmed Wilman's departure on Thursday, April 23. He previously hinted at his exit in an email titled "au revoir" sent to the program's team.

"Our stint as guardians of Top Gear was a good one, but we were only part of the show's history, not the whole of it. Those two words are bigger than us," he wrote in the email. He thanked staff for their efforts and said they had made "television that was beautiful to look at and beautiful to listen to."

The panel is reported to be led by the head of BBC Scotland Ken MacQuarrie. He will be assisted by barrister Orla Tierney who joined BBC earlier this year as "human resources director, employee relations and reward."

The mystery motoring expert who taught stars including , , , and how to drive like a pro has finally been unmasked. The identity of 'The Stig' - resident racetrack guru on hit British TV show "" - has remained a closely-guarded secret for years.

But he was finally named on Wednesday, September 1 as racing driver and stuntman Ben Collins, after an extraordinary court case in London. Collins' main role on the show is to coach celebrity guests on how to tackle a racetrack as part of the "Star in a Reasonably Priced Car" sequence - which sees famous faces bidding to beat their showbiz rivals' previous lap times. A trailer for the U.S. version of "" was played during History's presentation at the Television Critics Association tour on Friday, August 6. This is an adaptation of the successful BBC series where a secret race driver will test vehicles and celebrities will be invited for interviews and to drive vehicles around a test track.

In the American version, comedian Adam Ferrara, professional racing driver Tanner Foust and roving racing analyst Rutledge Wood are the hosts.
