Fresh 'Running' Poster of 'Stargate Universe' Unleashed
August 21, 2009 03:08:27"The only mission is survival" is the key ingredient of "Stargate Universe" season 1. The slogan is included in the new poster released via Entertainment Weekly which shows a modernized format of The Stargate itself over a stark white background. It features also three of the lead actors, Brian J. Smith, Robert Carlyle and Alaina Huffman, running.
Stargate Universe follows the adventures of a present-day, multinational exploration team on board the ancient spaceship Destiny, which is locked on an unknown course and unable to return to Earth. Faced with meeting the most basic needs of food, water and air, the group must unlock the secrets of the ship's stargate to survive.

SyFy's 2009 Fall Schedule Dates
July 21, 2009 09:07:27SyFy has announced the dates of its new and returning series that will flood the Fall schedule. A season opener, "Destination Truth" will come on September 9. In the third season, host Josh Gates will travel to Chernobyl and isolated Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan, explore King Tut's cursed tomb and roam through Caribbean caves.
Also debuting on September 9 is "Open Graves", a 2006 horror film starring Eliza Dushku which is finally picked up for distribution by Voltage Pictures. Summer hit show "Warehouse 13" meanwhile, will continue with new episodes on September 22 at its regular slot, Tuesdays at 9/8c. Guest stars include Michael Hogan and Mark Sheppard from "Battlestar Galactica", Joe Flanigan from "Stargate Atlantis" and Joe Morton from "Eureka".

First Promo of Sci-Fi's 'Stargate Universe'
June 08, 2009 11:06:54Sci-Fi has begun promoting its new original series "Stargate Universe" by releasing the sneak peek video as well as the promotional shoots. Both are introducing the characters and showing how this series differs from its predecessor "Battlestar Galactica".
Lou Diamond Phillips who plays Colonel Telford, says that it's "real stories and real people with real concerns", adding that it will be "sexier and grittier" than other series of the same genre. Meanwhile, actress Ming-Na who plays Camille Wray shares, "We have really dramatic turns with these characters and having audience really root for them and feel for them."
