'Star Wars: Clone Wars' Canceled After Five Seasons, 'Detours' Put on Indefinite Hold
March 12, 2013 01:03:09"Star Wars: The Clone Wars" has met its end after five seasons. Lucasfilm has announced that the recently-concluded season of the animated series on the Cartoon Network is the last for the show.
"After five highly successful and critically acclaimed seasons of 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars', we feel the time has come to wind down the series," the company wrote in a statement posted on its website Monday, March 11.

ABC to Discuss 'Star Wars' Live-Action Series With Lucasfilm
January 11, 2013 11:01:00"Star Wars" will not only return on the big screen, but may also get a new small-screen adaption. ABC entertainment president Paul Lee says the network will start a discussion about "Star Wars" live-action TV series with Lucasfilm, now that the studio acquisition by Disney is complete.
"We'd love to do something with Lucasfilm, we're not sure what yet," Lee tells Entertainment Weekly. "We haven't even sat down with them. We're going to look at [the live-action series], we're going to look at all of them, and see what's right. We weren't able to discuss this with them until [the acquisition] closed and it just closed. It's definitely going to be part of the conversation."

New 'The Clone Wars' Trailer Shows Even Piell, Ashoka and More
December 15, 2010 04:12:35There's a new trailer of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" which will return from its mid-season break on January 7. Provided by Lucasfilm for Entertainment Weekly, the trailer is shorter than the previous ones but it emphasizes on the action and the mythology which shapes the first half of season 3.
In the video, we get to see Jedi Master and Jedi Council member Even Piell in 'on-guard' position and Ashoka, Anakin Skywalker's Togruta Jedi padawan, battling her master. The short trailer, which actually had been given a private screening at Savage Opress trilogy charity last week, is set to John Williams' Wagnerian "Duel of the Fates".

'Clone Wars' Sneak Peek Reveals Origin of 'Star Wars' Villain
November 12, 2010 02:11:22There will soon be limited theatrical screenings and big screen sneak peek of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" in several cities around U.S. But a clip has been released first online to highlight on the villain called Savage Opress, who is none other than the brother of halved Sith Lord Darth Maul.
The animated series itself is divided into three episodes with the first one debuting on Cartoon Network on January 7, 2011. "For the first time ever, Sith training will be explored - and with it, truths about the very nature of the dark side itself!" description of the story-arc said. Also, "A warrior forged by a dark sorcery as mystical and powerful as the Force, Opress will uncover shocking revelations about the galaxy's tenuous balance."
