'Spartacus: Vengeance' Cast Dish On New Season at Premiere Party
January 19, 2012 04:01:50"Spartacus: Vengeance" stars stepped out on Wednesday, January 18 to celebrate the impending premiere of the show. Putting on their formal outfits, the show's actors and actresses attended the event which took place at the ArcLight Cinemas in Los Angeles, California, where they also gave some tidbits from the new chapter.
The new Spartacus depicter, Liam McIntyre, boasted that he almost set co-star Manu Bennett on fire during the filming of a scene. Bennett chimed in, "He's always doing something like that. Whether it be fictional or real! No, it was a scene with a catapult and it involved a fireball," while creator Steven DeKnight gushed that it's a really important scene.

The fresh preview gives more look at the intense fighting, the blood spilling and glimpses of nudity. It also shares footage of Lucy Lawless' Lucretia.
In this follow-up to "Spartacus: Blood and Sand", the gladiator rebellion continues and begins to strike fear into the heart of the Roman Republic. Gaius Claudius Glaber and his Roman troops are sent to Capua to crush the growing band of freed slaves that Spartacus leads before it can inflict further damage.

First Three Minutes of 'Spartacus: Vengeance' Debuted
December 10, 2011 09:12:13A new sneak peek to the first episode of "Spartacus: Vengeance" has landed online, giving a look at the first opening scene. Said to be a pivotal part of the show, the approximately three-minute footage follows Spartacus and other rebels who fight some soldiers. After the battle ends, he decides to use one of the army dead bodies to send a message to an old friend.
This follow-up to "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" takes place several weeks after the end of the first season, where Spartacus led a rampage at the House of Batiatus. In the new chapter, Capua is in an uproar and the gladiators are on the run.

'Spartacus' Gets Season 3 Order, to Start Production in Early 2012
November 08, 2011 09:11:59"Spartacus" has been given another season to live. Starz has announced on Monday, November 7 that it picks up the show for a third season although the second season, which is called "Spartacus: Vengeance", has not been debuted yet. The yet-to-be titled third season is scheduled to begin the production in early 2012 in New Zealand.
"There is no denying the impact 'Spartacus' has had in the marketplace with fans across the globe thirsting for the continuation of the epic tale," says Starz Media managing director Carmi Zlotnik when announcing the renewal. "We are thrilled to come to an early agreement that allows the writers and talent to get right back to work in preparing for season three"

November 04, 2011 11:11:08Starz has announced a premiere date for "Spartacus: Vengeance". After it wrapped up the first season in April 2010, the fantasy drama series will return on Friday, January 27 at 10 P.M. with Liam McIntyre now starring as the title character.
The story begins several weeks after the end of the first season, which was called "Spartacus: Blood and Sand", where Spartacus led a rampage at the House of Batiatus. In the new season, Capua is in an uproar and the gladiators are on the run.

Andy Whitfield to Be Honored With 'Spartacus' Marathons
September 17, 2011 12:09:46In honor of Welsh actor Andy Whitfield who passed away on September 11, Starz would run two kinds of "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" season 1 marathon. Beginning at 9:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 2, the tribute includes fan favorite episodes to showcase his most memorable performances.
In the press release, Starz said there will be five episodes including the premiere and finale episodes. They did not reveal the other three. And then the network is set to re-air the entire season of the series on December 16, just a month before the new season starts January 2012 with Liam McIntyre replacing Whitfield.

Bloody Action-Packed Trailer of 'Spartacus: Vengeance' Unleashed
July 30, 2011 12:07:28Starz has debuted the first full trailer of "Spartacus: Vengeance" to follow-up the teaser which was screened at San Diego Comic-Con. It sees Liam McIntyre's Spartacus in many bloody action scenes as he is determined to take revenge over what happened to his wife.
Also featured in the sneak peek are Viva Bianca's Ilithyia and Lucy Lawless' Lucretia. The former is screaming in a shock in one scene, while the latter appears with a scruffy look.

July 15, 2011 08:07:00San Diego Comic Con is still a week away, but Starz has shared sneak peeks to "Spartacus: Vengeance". A teaser for the second season of the action drama series has landed online, and three photos made their way out via Entertainment Weekly, giving the first look at Liam McIntyre as the new Spartacus.
"We will face the hordes of Rome again... and the Gods shall weep for their suffering," so says the title character who stares intensely to the camera in the footage. The rebel gladiator is seen in action in one of the pictures and facing off another man in another shot. The other photo, meanwhile, captures him shirtless and holding a sword in each of his hands.
