'Rex Is Not Your Lawyer' Pushed to Fall
January 25, 2010 03:01:55Previously scheduled to fill in the vacant slot left by "The Jay Leno Show" at 10/9c, "Rex Is Not Your Lawyer" is reportedly scrapped from the plan. The new show starring David Tennant may not come as soon as expected because "the sets are coming down this week," EW's mole said.
Nevertheless, the drama, which is also starring Jerry O'Connell, is still considered for a Fall debut. "The sets are on fold-and-hold. They will still be available if the show is picked up for the fall," the insider added.

Jerry O'Connell Replaces Sendhil Ramamurthy on 'Rex'
December 07, 2009 03:12:08Sendhil Ramamurthy is no longer attached to NBC's pilot "Rex Is Not Your Lawyer" and has been replaced by Jerry O'Connell. The character which O'Connell will be tackling would be an ambitious but "good-natured" lawyer who is friends with Rex and is secretly in love with Rex's fiancee.
Ramamurthy bowed out of the project because of scheduling conflicts just days after his participation was announced. According to Hollywood Reporter, Ramamurthy had made it clear that his already-running show "Heroes" will be his priority should both shows end up on NBC's schedule next season.
