CBS Renews 18 Shows, but 'Criminal Minds' Deal Is Still Being Worked Out
March 28, 2013 11:03:00CBS has renewed 18 of its primetime series for 2013-2014 season. "Elementary", "The Good Wife", "2 Broke Girls", "Mike & Molly", "NCIS: Los Angeles", "Person of Interest", "The Mentalist", "Hawaii Five-0" and "Blue Bloods" join previously renewed scripted series including "The Big Bang Theory", "How I Met Your Mother", "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation".
Reality shows "The Amazing Race", "Survivor" and "Undercover Boss" as well as newsmagazines "60 Minutes" and "48 Hours" are also picked up for new season. Meanwhile, missing from the list are "Two and a Half Men", "Criminal Minds", "CSI: NY", struggling comedy "Rules of Engagement" and freshman dramas "Vegas" and "Golden Boy".

'Person of Interest' and 'Unforgettable' Get Full-Season Orders
October 26, 2011 10:10:01"Person of Interest" and "Unforgettable" have been added to the list of new shows which will stay at least for one full season. CBS has just made the full-season orders official after it was reported making pick-up calls to the producers of the two newbies last week.
Coming from executive producer J.J. Abrams, "Person of Interest" has averaged 13.9 million viewers in its Thursday 9 P.M. slot. Poppy Montgomery-starring "Unforgettable", meanwhile, ranks as the season's most-watched new drama with 14 million viewers in average while occupying the Tuesday 10 P.M. slot.

'Person of Interest' 1.02 Preview: Reese and Finch Deal With 'Ghosts'
September 23, 2011 01:09:12Reese (James Caviezel) and Finch (Michael Emerson)'s adventure to prevent crimes has just begun on "Prime Suspect", but the two have already been left puzzled by The Machine. In the second episode of the series, the pair are given the Social Security number of a teenager who was killed two years ago, leading them to question the infallibility of the tool.
Finch flashes back to The Machine's origin and how it was developed, while Reese visits a girl to ensure that no one will hurt her again before danger soon comes to himself. Elsewhere, Reese hits his enemy's car with a truck, telling him, "You really need to watch where you're going."

'Lost' Alums J.J. Abrams and Michael Emerson Reunite for CBS Pilot
February 17, 2011 11:02:12J.J. Abrams is collecting the pieces of "Lost", teaming up with Michael Emerson once again for a new pilot called "Person of Interest". Abrams is executive-producing the pilot for CBS while Emerson is to take the lead role as a mysterious billionaire.
Jonah Nolan aka brother of Christopher Nolan who also wrote the screenplay of "The Dark Knight" takes his first TV project with this one. The show is a crime drama centered on a CIA agent, presumed dead, who is recruited by a reclusive billionaire to wage war against violent criminals in New York City.
