'Paris Hilton's My New BFF' Gets Tangled in Legal Dispute
February 04, 2010 02:02:35Paris Hilton's reality TV search for a new best friend is at the center of an $8 million legal dispute between show bosses and producers in Dubai over plans to air the program in the United Arab Emirates. Lionsgate Television executives claim producers at Union Emirates, LLC signed a written agreement to co-produce and distribute MTV's Paris Hilton's "Paris Hilton's My New BFF" in the Middle East.
But they failed to pay up more than $4.7 million to cover the production and distribution costs and Lionsgate bosses filed a federal suit for breach of contract in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 2.

August 05, 2009 03:08:15Paris Hilton has finally chosen the winner of her reality show "Paris Hilton's My New BFF". During the August 4 finale for season 2, Paris brought back the fallen and crowned him her new BFF. Stephen Hampton, the contestant who got eliminated last week, was called up and he eventually convinced Paris that he is the 'one'.
Stephen consequently beat Stefanie Fritz and Tiniecia Goldsmith who were actually the two finalists. Upon sending home Stephen last week, Paris thought that she could not have a boy as a BFF although he came out as gay. She eventually decided to follow her heart and found that none of the girls can beat him.

May 16, 2009 11:05:54Coming out of disappointment over her choice the first time around, Paris Hilton is back in search for another BFF in the second season of "Paris Hilton's My New BFF". MTV has aired a promo of the reality show, presenting more drama, fun, fights and tears.
Through the TV spot, it is revealed that there will be a set of guest stars, some are unlikely. Kathy Griffin, Three 6 Mafia, Lil' Kim and more will show up to help Paris in determining who should be her next best friend. "But because I was fooled last season, I'm gonna push these BFF wannabes to the edge," Paris said.

September 26, 2008 11:09:32A preview to "Paris Hilton's My New BFF" has been let out and it highlights on the contestants' makeover. The short snippet opens with Paris Hilton saying to the hopefuls in front of her, "If you guys are gonna hang with me, your look is gonna need an upgrade...big-time."
In it, she introduces designer duo Heatherette, Richie Rich and Traver Rains, who helps her with the suggestion for the makeover. The footage also displays her interaction with some of the contestants while making some proposals on what she wants to do to improve each one of them.
