'My Name Is Earl' Is Officially Dead

The plan to reincarnate "My Name Is Earl" has been terminated after TBS has canceled its plan to pick up the series left by NBC. "TBS was in the very early stages of discussions with Fox about 'My Name is Earl,' and we are disappointed that we were not able to reach an agreement," the cable channel said in a statement.

Creators were in "preliminary conversations" earlier this week to have the comedy series airing on TBS after they failed to pitch it to other networks such as FOX and ABC. Re-run episodes have been streaming on TBS but the numbers could not meet the financial demand to produce new episodes.

NBC May Cancel 'My Name Is Earl' and FOX Pick It Up

"My Name is Earl" may be in the middle of running its fourth season on NBC but it may be its last. Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood reported that the network is considering to cancel the series to save cost because it has not exactly been stellar in ratings.

The show however, may not be buried after all, because there is a possibility that it will be picked up by FOX. The entertainment president of FOX, Kevin Reilly, allegedly is developing the show to be under the new roof because the network is lacking in its comedy show. Reilly was originally in NBC before moving to FOX.

Jason Priestley Plays Brandon on 'My Name Is Earl'

Jason Priestley who was widely known as Brandon from his old zip code "Beverly Hills, 90210", will bring his 'famous name' back to the television. Priestley will play again as Brandon on a TV series, not in "90210", in fact, the 'Brandon' will appear on the American sitcom, "My Name Is Earl".

It has reported that Priestley will be a guest star on one of the episodes of "Earl". Brandon in the series is a cousin of Earl and an ex-lover of Joy (Earl's ex-wife). He appears in a flashback scene of Earl and Joy's first anniversary.
