'Megan Wants A Millionaire' Star Gets a New Show
September 03, 2009 04:09:43Her show may be canceled, but Megan Hauserman is not taking the blame. The star of "Megan Wants A Millionaire" will be featured in a new reality show now that "Millionaire" was taken off air due to a homicide case involving one of the contestants, Ryan Jenkins.
In order to keep Megan quiet about Jenkins' criminal case and to compensate her loss of air time, VH1 offered the 27-year-old her own show. A source told RadarOnline that before axing "Millionaire", VH1 "promised Megan her own show...that's how they bought her silence."

August 25, 2009 01:08:04It has now been confirmed that "Megan Wants A Millionaire" and "I Love Money" season 3 will not air on VH1. The two reality series have been canceled following the murder of model Jasmine Fiore whose husband, Ryan Jenkins, is a contestant in both shows and allegedly a winner in "I Love Money".
In blog post dated Monday, August 24, VH1 wrote, "Just in case you missed it, we're sad to announce that the fate of both 'Megan Wants a Millionaire' and 'I Love Money 3' have been determined: both have been canceled and will not make it to air." Unlike "Millionaire" that managed to air three episodes, "Money" was actually saved for 2010 premiere.

Reality TV Star Ryan Jenkins Found Dead in a Motel
August 24, 2009 10:08:36The manhunt for "Megan Wants A Millionaire" contestant is over with Ryan Jenkins found dead at Thunderbird Motel in Hope, British Columbia. The 32-year-old was a fugitive after his model wife Jasmine Fiore's body was found on August 14, stuffed in a suitcase and dumped in a trash can at Buena Park, California.
Police responded to a call about a dead person from a location in Hope, east of Vancouver. Investigators involved in the international manhunt for Jenkins were quickly alerted. His body was able to be identified and confirmed through fingerprinting.

VH1 Stops 'Megan Wants A Millionaire' Following Murder
August 20, 2009 03:08:14On the heels of a homicide case involving a contestant of the show, VH1 has announced that it will stop airing "Megan Wants A Millionaire" until further notice. In a statement released on Wednesday, August 19, the network said, "Given the unfortunate circumstances, VH1 has postponed any future airings. This is a tragic situation and our thoughts go out to the victim's family."
Ryan Jenkins is one of the contestants of the dating reality show who was suspected of murdering a 28-year-old swimsuit model named Jasmine Fiore. He becomes a person of interest to the police after Jasmine's body was found stuffed in a suitcase and dumped in a trash bin in Buena Park, California last weekend.
