'Ghost Whisperer' and 'Medium' November 6 Previews

After an episode paying homage to horror films, "Ghost Whisperer" and "Medium" will return next week with "Devil's Bargain" and "New Terrain" respectively. Melinda is brought to a striptease bar since the ghost had a side job as a dancer while she was alive. Meanwhile, Allison is taken to a bank in her vision.

In "Bargain", Jim, surprised by his colleague's nonchalance to a paranormal encounter, suspects that he is involved in a med student's sudden disappearance. Meanwhile, Melinda senses trouble when Aiden continues to mention his fear of "the shadows." Emily Rose guest stars as Tina Clark, the murder victim who seeks Melinda's help.

Allison's Gift Altered in the New 'Medium' Promo

CBS is going full throttle in promoting its new series "Medium" which was snatched this summer from NBC. The latest promo shows the more creepy and darker side of having a gift to foresee the future, putting Alison in situations which are beyond her control. Executive Producer Glen Gordon Caron said Allison will deal with the aftermath of her health problems and how it changes her gift.

In the season premiere, Allison is slowly, sporadically regaining both her physical abilities and her psychic talents. Unfortunately, she becomes more confused then enlightened when her "gift" re-emerges as a strange form of deja-vu, that hinders rather than helps her in her investigation of newscaster Sophie Cullen's alleged stalker, Peter Winant.

CBS Considering 'Medium' and 'Ghost Whisperer' Crossover

Now that "Medium" is under CBS' roof, there is a bigger chance that it will crossover to "Ghost Whisperer". Both shows, being the ones with supernatural elements, are to fill the Friday night slots for the network this Fall. CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler told reporters on Monday, August 3 that CBS indeed has a lot of plans for "Medium".

When asked whether Patricia Arquette's Allison may bump into Jennifer Love Hewitt's Melinda somewhere along the season, Tassler won't say no. "It's never too soon (to consider)," she said. "Their mythologies are different, and we haven't talked about a crossover, but it's possible. I think right now, the shows have a different language. They have a different skill set, different rules, etc., but once we get the show launched and comfortable in its time period, we could certainly talk about it."

CBS' Promo of 'Medium' Season 6

CBS has started giving "Medium" a housewarming party by re-airing the past episodes and releasing a new promo. On Tuesday, July 21, the Eye Network aired the first episode of season 5, "Soul Survivor", and released a promo that shows the transition from NBC to CBS.

In the promo which is titled "Welcome to the CBS Family!", the cast, including lead actress Patricia Arquette, explain what's the deal with the show. They emphasize on the presence of thriller, supernatural phenomenon and suspense on top of the normality of a harmonious family.

Balthazar Getty Goes to 'Medium' With Rumer Willis

"Medium" has prolonged Balthazar Getty's career on TV. The actor who will be leaving "Brothers & Sisters" before the season ends, is tapped as a guest star on the NBC series in an episode which will be directed by the star herself, Patricia Arquette.

According to People, Getty will step in the role of a wealthy real estate magnate whose wife is missing. Beside Getty, Arquette who is having her second directing shot, has also included Rumer Willis and Anjelica Huston. While the former will play the missing woman, the latter reprises her Emmy-nominated role as Cynthia Keener.

"Medium" is entering a new season this Monday, February 2 with the episode "Soul Survivor". In the series premiere, there has been a case of mistaken identity where Allison suspects that a murderer is a man whose status on the record is already dead.

Allison tries to help Devalos solve the recent murder of his friend's sister, but her dreams keep pointing to the friend's first husband, Nathan, who died in a car accident two years ago. The case takes an unexpected turn once she learns more about the woman's current husband, Joel. Meanwhile, Bridgette is sent to the principal's office for drawing nude pictures of her art teacher.
