Jenny McCarthy Will Host NBC's 'Love in the Wild', VH1 Picks Up Her Talk Show

Jenny McCarthy has just landed, not one, but two hosting gigs. Not long after VH1 announced that it's developing a talk show for her, it's reported that NBC has tapped her to host the upcoming second installment of reality show "Love in the Wild".

Filming for the sophomore season of the dating show will begin later this month in the Dominican Republic. The reality series, which sees men and women going through nature-based challenges in a quest to find love, will return with all-new episodes this summer.

NBC has given a second season order for new reality show "Love in the Wild" which averaged 5.5 million viewers and a 1.8 rating in the adult demo in its first season. The adventure-dating series which pairs singles for challenges in the wild nature is promised to return next year with more exciting twists.

"The success of the relationships formed on the first season of this series is a testament to the unique format of this show," said Paul Telegdy President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. "We look forward to an even more compelling season as the series will return with new format twists and a new set of contestants who will conquer the wild - or not - to find love."

Expect drama as well as adrenaline-rushing adventure on "Love in the Wild". The new reality series from NBC brings ten men and ten women to wild nature on their first date, testing their mating and survival skills.

In new promos for the show, some contestants are seen bonding with their partners in the jungle of Costa Rica. For some others, however, the physically and emotionally taxing challenge will raise the tension between them.

NBC Greenlights 'Bachelor' and 'Survivor' Crossover

It was reported sometime ago that there would be a brand new reality show which is roughly like a crossover between "The Bachelor" and "Survivor". NBC worked it up with Endemol to make it happen and they have just announced the details.

"Love in the Wild" basically puts together singles in the jungle to mate. Twenty men and women will pair up each week in the middle of the jungle and each couple will be placed in remote area. Together they are only given a map and must rely on each other to pass the challenges which could either be physical or emotional.
