October 27, 2011 04:10:57Johnny Depp still holds a grudge against Ricky Gervais after the "Ghost Town" actor trashed him at 2010 Golden Globe Awards, so is the premise of a sketch on "Life's Too Short". In a sneak peek to the new comedy, the "Rango" star is introduced by Warwick Davis to the creator of U.K.'s "The Office" and he remembers him from the awarding ceremony.
After stubbing his cigarette out into Gervais' glass of water, Depp tells the "Extras" writer that Helena Bonham Carter thinks Gervais is an idiot. When the British comedian asks if he has done something that offends Depp, the "Pirates of the Carribean" star replies, "What do you mean? Like trashing me in front of 200 million people at the Golden Globes?"

August 26, 2011 10:08:07Ricky Gervais is lining up a number of A-listers to boost his new show "Life's Too Short". The likes of Johnny Depp, Steve Carell, Helena Bonham Carter and Liam Neeson are set to be featured in the sitcom, and their upcoming appearance is highlighted in a new promo for the show.
In the video, Depp is seen having a meeting with the show's lead star Warwick Davis, Carell gives a nod to an offer to join the sitcom, Carter shoots a scene with Davis, while Neeson speaks to Gervais about doing a comedy. Other stars set to make cameos on the series are Cat Deeley, Sting, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Les Dennis, Keith Chegwin and Shaun Williamson.

March 25, 2011 10:03:02"Life's Too Short" has snatched a big cameo, so Ricky Gervais claimed via his blog. The comedian, who writes and will star on the upcoming BBC2 comedy series, has confirmed that "Pirates of the Caribbean" trilogy actor Johnny Depp will appear on it.
While nodding his head to Depp's guest spot, Gervais denied speculation that Jerry Seinfeld would also make a guest appearance. "The Depp bit is true. The Seinfeld isn't," he wrote on his blog, debunking speculation that "The Marriage Ref" executive producer will play "quite a whiny Upper East Side Jewish guy."
