After fleeing the Visitor Healing Center, Ryan tells Valerie that he's a V. They need to run, as the Visitors want their baby. Two V security guards are dispatched to capture them, but Ryan is able to dispose of them. In doing so, Valerie sees the green scales hidden behind their human skin. She wonders what their baby will look like. That's something to worry about later. Right now, they need to bolt.

Marcus interrupts Anna's orientation speech to the humans selected for the Visitor Live-Aboard program to deliver the news about Valerie's pregnancy. Anna says, "The existence of this baby puts our entire species at risk." She wants the ship physicians to commence extraction procedures on all human residents immediately. We're not sure what that means, but it doesn't sound pleasant. Anna also wants Ryan and Valerie captured and dissected. As for the baby, it's to be destroyed.

Valerie was injected with R6, so the Visitors can track her. Dr. Leah Pearlman gives her an injection that will block the transmitting signal. But it won't take effect for 24 hours. In the meantime, they'll hide at a farmhouse owned by the Thompsons, a couple who helped the resistance in the past. Ryan tells Erica he's going off the grid. Protecting Valerie and the baby is his top priority.

The assassin who shot four members of the Fifth Column claims the Visitors threatened to kill his family unless he did what they said. The man's name is Barnes and Hobbes doesn't believe a word he says. They need to retrieve the stolen laptop containing Fifth Column data. Hobbes threatens to torture Barnes with a device called a Heretic's Fork to get info. Jack intervenes saying they first need to determine that he's lying.

Anna orders Marcus to release a destructive soldier that's been bred to fight and kill. Joshua tells the team that the soldier is on his way. Erica learns that Barnes is ex-military, a trained killer. He's helping the V's because they heeled his paralyzed daughter. Erica swipes an external hard drive from Barnes' house. It's been wiped. They need to find Ryan to warn him and Barnes knows where he's headed. Erica gives Hobbes the go-ahead to get this misguided soldier to talk, by any means necessary.

The soldier arrives at the Thompson house and quickly kills the husband and wife. He tries to grab Valerie, but Ryan is able to fight him long enough for her to escape with Dr. Pearlman. Ryan is no match for the powerful soldier. Fortunately, Erica bursts in firing several rounds into the soldier's body. They have little effect. As the team scrambles outside, the soldier gives chase. Hobbes springs from darkness to whack the soldier in the chest with an axe. The soldier is down, but not dead. The team speeds away before he can give chase.

Ryan is grateful for the help from his friends, but he still needs to stay with Valerie. Unfortunately, she doesn't want anything to do with him. Valerie can't forgive him for all that he's done. She gets on a train with Dr. Pearlman, leaving the father of her child behind.

Chad Decker undergoes treatment for his brain aneurysm. The procedure is a success and when Chad wakes up, Anna is waiting for him. When she mentions the Fifth Column, Chad offers to do a little digging. He visits Father Jack to say that he doesn't trust the V's. If there are others who feel as he does, he'd like to meet them. Jack doesn't give up any secrets, but Chad suspects he's talking to the right source. He reports back to Anna that he may have something for her soon. So, which side is Chad on?

Anna wants Lisa to convince Erica to let Tyler join the Live-Aboard program. During a private chat with Erica, Lisa sees how much she cares for her son. This really seems to hit home. Defying her mother's orders, Lisa tells Tyler that he should not join Live-Aboard.

This advice backfires, as Tyler thinks him mom said something to influence Lisa. He tells Erica he's moving onto that ship while Lisa tells Anna that she can be more effective with Tyler if he stays with his mom. Anna says, "I trust your judgment." Lisa is relieved, but we're wondering if Anna may be secretly getting suspicious.
