Scott and Chris give Reagan and Ava a tour of their new office space. Chris comments that the space was a little bit above their budget, but they should be fine as long as they get some contracting jobs. Unfortunately, business isn't booming just yet. Completely disregarding Chris' fiscal concerns, Scott shows off a new office margarita machine.

Reagan informs Ava that an Ava Show contest winner has contacted her about meeting Ava. Reagan thinks it will be awkward for Ava to meet with contest winners even though her show was cancelled, but Ava thinks it will be a good idea.

Later, at the Brinkley's house, Scott tells Reagan that his ex-wife, Connie, will be coming by to pick up their kid. Reagan is nervous about it because she hasn't seen Connie since the divorce, and they used to be best friends until she was forced to choose between her brother and his ex-wife. When Connie arrives, she and Reagan have an awkward moment. They clearly still want to be friends.

Scott's old boss, Mad Dog, stops by to mock Chris and Scott for losing another contracting job to his company. Overwhelmed by stress, Chris' old smoking habit starts to resurface, but he won't give in. Instead, he decides to hang out near some smokers for a while to inhale their second-hand smoke. Scott warns Chris that he's on a slippery slope.

Connie returns to the Brinkley house and chats with Reagan about the ballet class they used to attend together. Reagan clearly misses taking dance classes and hanging out with Connie, but her allegiance to her brother won't allow her to return to ballet. Ava meets up with the Palmers, the family who won the Ava Show contest, to give them a private tour of Los Angeles.

Dawning a crude disguise, Reagan tries to sneak into the ballet studio undetected in order to sign up for dance classes. The receptionist and Connie easily recognize her. Despite the conflict between Connie and Scott, Reagan agrees to attend ballet classes again, rekindling her forbidden friendship with Connie.

Back at the office, Chris can't understand why he and Scott keep losing bids, but before he can dig into it further, Ava drops by with the Palmers. The tour of Los Angeles isn't quite going as planned, but Ava doesn't seem to notice. Meanwhile, at the ballet studio, Reagan spots Gene and Terry and sneaks out before they notice her, so that they don't blow her cover.

Scott and Chris are speaking to a prospective client about a remodel. Scott assures Chris that he's the only one who knows about this job, but then Mad Dog shows up and underbids them for the remodeling job. All the stress aggravates Chris' old smoking habit, so he heads to the convenience store for cigarettes.

At home, Chris hides the fact that he's smoking again, and Reagan hides the fact that she's hanging out with Connie. Chris sees through Reagan's deception and calls her out for spending time with Connie. He then realizes that Connie has been stealing prospective clients for her dad, Mad Dog, by snooping around Chris' business documents while she's hanging out with Reagan.

Reagan confronts Connie about stealing ideas, and Connie tells Reagan that Scott has been accidentally emailing her dad, Mad Dog, about all of their business prospects. Reagan refuses to apologize, citing her allegiance to her brother. Meanwhile, Ava ignites a Palmer family argument that results in Mr. Palmer announcing he wants a divorce and Mrs. Palmer announcing that she's a lesbian.

Later that night, Chris sneaks a nicotine patch on his back while Reagan apologizes for deceiving him and hanging out with Connie. Chris accepts the apology, but moments later, Reagan discovers Chris' nicotine patch and gets upset at Chris for deceiving her.

The next day, Scott is entertaining some potential clients with the margarita machine. The clients are smokers, and Chris realizes that he'll have to exercise extreme will power to resist smoking with his clients. Luckily, Scott is there to keep him in line.
