Carrie and Al investigate the murder of Ezequiel Nadal, who was shot while driving a very expensive sports car belonging to Lukas Emminger, a powerful Swiss diplomat. Emminger appears to have no knowledge of Ezequiel and claims that he never received the car, so suspicion mounts as to why the young man was killed. As they investigate, that discover that Ezequiel was part of an underground street racing ring and had been delivering very expensive cars to buyers on behalf of an import shop called Heritage Classics, which is run by the leader of the street racing ring, Nick Castigan. However, when Jay discovers that the import shop is actually selling counterfeit sports cars and Castigan turns up dead in his own shop, Carrie and Al begin to suspect that the killer they're hunting is out for vengeance after getting ripped off. A break in the case comes when Webster uncovers trace amounts of vaccines in Ezequiel's blood - vaccines needed for travel abroad. This, coupled with crucial elements from the investigation in Carrie's memory, help her solve the case. Ezequiel was in love with Lukas Emminger's daughter, Celine, and the two planned to run away together after he fenced her father's new car for money. Emminger got word of it and killed Ezequiel to prevent it from happening. As Al arrests him, he confidently says that he'll get diplomatic immunity, but it's later revealed that he had gifted a fake car to his ambassador boss, who no longer feels compelled to help him avoid prison time.
