Carrie goes undercover with a team of bank robbers to locate and apprehend a criminal mastermind by the name of Kilborn, whom no one has ever seen before. After a tip-off that Kilborn's next target is in Manhattan, Carrie and Al apprehend Eve Steele, a member of the heist team, at the airport and interrogate her. During the interrogation, they learn that none of the teammates know one another, so Carrie takes advantage of their resemblance and poses as Eve to infiltrate the heist team. While undercover, she meets all the members of the heist team - all ex-cons by the names of Willis, Philip, and Arnold - and together, they follow the instructions that Kilborn relays to them via text messages. Carrie carefully relays all of this information to Al, who arranges a sting operation at the bank that Kilborn is targeting. However, Carrie runs into a snag when she loses audio contact with Al and Kilborn makes a last second decision to change targets, leaving Al and a slew of undercover officers waiting at the wrong bank. Carrie is forced to go along with a real robbery at the second bank to maintain her cover, narrowly avoiding hurting innocent civilians in the process. While there, she manages to send clever, innocuous signals that Al picks up on, enabling him to follow her trail, despite having no contact with her. After the robbery, Kilborn directs his team to a meet-up where they are to turn in their weapons before meeting him. As they start to do this, Arnold says something that triggers something in Carrie's memory, and she deduces that Arnold is, in fact, the infamous Kilborn. Carrie tries to turn Willis and Philip against Kilborn, but he shoots them down and turns his gun on Carrie. He reveals that he knew she was a cop from the very beginning, and that he enjoyed using her to throw the police off his trail entirely. He underestimates Carrie, however, because Al manages to locate them just in time and they manage to take down Kilborn together.
