Daphne feels awkward around Travis since their kiss. Kathryn is envious of Regina's relationship with Bay, so Kathryn offers to direct Carlton's school play since the school can no longer afford a drama teacher. Unfortunately, Bay who is still trying to fit in with Natalie and her friends, is embarrassed by Kathryn's presence and pushes Kathryn away.

Against John's wishes Toby seeks help from John's father in applying to college, but it turns out John was right: he doesn't have Toby's best interests at heart, making Toby reconsider college all together. Daphne asks Travis to take the food truck out with her, but when Travis walks away for a second Daphne ends up getting attacked and robbed by two costumers, taking advantage of the fact that both Travis and Daphne are deaf. Daphne keeps the incident to herself. Frustrated with her job search Regina turns to Zane and falls off the wagon, having her first glass of wine in years.
