The Kennishes try to get Bay away from Zarra by inviting Alex and his family over for dinner. Bay ends up leaving dinner early with Alex to bail Zarra out of jail with money she convinces Travis to borrow from the Kennish Car Wash safe. Alex's parents give Kathryn, John, Regina and Patrick a salsa lesson, but it turns into a disaster when Patrick ends things with Regina because of Angelo.
Daphne and Chef Jeff take their relationship to the next level, so Scuba asks Daphne to take the fall for her in the kitchen. Scuba ends up getting fired for talking back to Chef Jeff about his relationship with Daphne. Nikki and Toby continue to hang out and play music together, but Toby is shocked to find out Nikki has a boyfriend. Toby asks Emmett to start a new band with him.
