Our heroes are given the number for Maria Martinez, an engineer who spent years in Iraq working on private reconstruction projects. After tailing the new POI, Reese and Shaw begin to suspect that she could be planning a terrorist attack on the UN, though Finch claims the machine would not have given them her relevant number if that were true. When Maria confronts Rene Lapointe, a French diplomat responsible for approving refugee asylum status, the team learns that she is actually trying to get her former translator turned lover, Omar Risha, released from the murky custody of Homeland Security. If Maria can't get Omar released, he'll be sent back to Iraq and killed. Later, Maria is targeted by a team of French assassins, but Reese and Shaw swoop in to save her. Finch learns that Maria's boss, Ken Davis, redirected six massive generators delivered to Iraq to an unknown location, and that Omar's knowledge of Davis’ activities was what put his life at risk. Our heroes manage to save Maria from the men Davis' hired to kill her and free Omar before he can be deported. Meanwhile, Root tracks Greer with the help of the machine, but he continually manages to give her the slip. Root learns that Ken Davis actually sold the missing generators to Greer, who intends to use them to bring Samaritan online.
