A new Head of Display arrives, and manages to both infuriate and delight the staff. Both Gordon and Mr. Grove adjust to personnel changes, as the young heir narrowly avoids a scandal. Meanwhile, a grand fundraiser for The Selfridge Estate allows restless Violette to shine while under impromptu house-arrest.
When Loxley aligns himself against the store and Kitty, George helps her reveal the true nature of her enemies. Serge and Rosalie reconcile. Victor struggles to keep the reins to his club, while Harry goes to desperate measures to keep his dream afloat. Doris' predicament finds an unfortunate end.
