While out shopping, Carol gets angry and yells at Tom about doing something wrong yet again, prompting Debbie to scold Carol for always criticizing Tom. Debbie thinks if Carol were a bit nicer, Tom wouldn't always be scared of messing up. Carol is miffed but tells Debbie to knock herself out taking care of him without her help. Debbie agrees but she quickly learns that Tom doesn't know how to function without help. When Debbie loses it with Tom, Nathan tells Debbie that she is just like Carol in that they both lack patience. Debbie is angry and tells Nathan he should take care of Tom and Carol can stay with her. Nathan agrees and teaches Tom to use the Siri-like function on his phone to remind him what to do every day. Tom flourishes with Siri, which upsets Carol because she has to admit to herself that she doesn't have much else to do in her life now that she doesn't have to take care of Tom. In the end, Nathan can't take it anymore with Tom either and they go back to their original living arrangement.
