Jane and the CBI team investigate the murder of a luxury car saleswoman. A cocktail party is in full swing at Zenith Motor Gallery, where the rich and powerful buy their high end luxury cars. Top salesman, James Kinsey leads a client to an elegant Bentley, singing its praises. As he pops open the trunk, the customer drops his drink. Inside is the battered corpse of Liselle Douglas, saleswoman at Zenith Motor Gallery. Jane and Lisbon arrive on the murder scene. Head broker, Oliver Westhoff tells them that Liselle helped plan the cocktail party and had stayed late the night before. In the break room, Jane digs through the employee's fridge as he questions top salesman, James Kinsey. Kinsey tells Jane that he didn't know much about Liselle ouside of the office except that she lived with her musician boyfriend, Jeff Sparhawk. Suffering from a stomach ailment and very particular about his food, Kinsey asks Jane to not touch his food in the Tupperware container Jane's currently holding. Liselle's boyfriend, Jeff is deeply upset by her death. Looking around their apartment, Jane clocks an expensive photograph on the wall and asks Jeff where he got it. The photograph in question was given to her by billionaire, Walter Mashburn. Mashburn was the last client Liselle saw the night she went missing. Enchanted by Lisbon and intrigued by Jane, Mashburn tells them that if he killed Liselle, he wouldn't have stuffed her in a trunk. As he speeds off in his cigarette boat, he dares them to prove he's Liselle's killer. Liselle's autopsy report shows that she died of injuries sustained from being hit by a car. Also, Oliver Westhoff reported a Ferrari disappeared from their service department the night of the murder – perhaps this is the murder weapon. Noah Landau, music producer and the owner of the stolen Ferrari, admits that he hired Liselle's boyfriend, Jeff, to steal his car from the dealership because he didn't want his soon to be ex-wife finding his recreational drugs in the car. Lisbon and Rigsby are notified that the car has been found but in pieces at a shopping mall. They find a distraught Sparhawk not far the crash scene brandishing a sword admitting he killed Liselle. Lisbon talks Sparhawk into laying down his sword. With further questioning, Sparhawk admits he didn't kill Liselle but if he had been a better provider, she would still be alive. The crime scene techs confirm Sparhawk's admission. There's no DNA on the car's bumper. Sparhawk didn't kill Liselle. Meanwhile, Jane visits Mashburn. Intrigued by Jane, Mashburn allows Jane to show his mentalist tricks at his club. As a crowd looks on, a blindfolded Jane with the assistance of Mashburn drives his Lamborghini around the parking lot. After successfully completing the makeshift course blindfolded, Jane and Mashburn exit the car. But the car rolls forward, gathering speed and goes over the cliff into the water below. Jane owes Mashburn a new car and together they return to Zenith Motor Gallery. Since top salesman, Kinsey is out sick, Jane asks the #2 salesman, Brad Elias, to show them around. Elias shows the billionaire a choice selection of luxury cars. Jane urges Mashburn around the lot, until finally suggesting Mashburn pick that little coupe in the corner. Elias demurs – uh, not for sale – and Mashburn demands to know why not. Jane tells him that's the one Elias used to murder Liselle. Jane used hellstromism to detect which car on the lot Elias was avoiding. Elias confesses. He was so close to overtaking Kinsey as the top salesman that he started playing dirty. Liselle caught putting something in Kinsey's Tupperware container to make him sick and threatened to expose him. It would have ruined him at Zenith and been the end of his lucrative career. Knowing she'd be all alone at the dealership that night planning the cocktail party, he lay in wait. When she exited the building, he ran her over with one of the dealership's cars. Having solved the case, Jane takes Lisbon for a spin in Mashburn's new car.
