When Annie officially asks Dennah and Kay to be her bridesmaids, she realizes that while her bridal party consists of nine of her closest gal pals, Jake just has Gil. Annie is appalled - not only will she look like a nutjob with her lopsided wedding party, but what is wrong with Jake that he has no friends?

That's when she remembers "The Boyz," Jake's hard-partying college bros with whom he's lost touch. So, out of concern for her fiancé, Annie surprises Jake with an impromptu visit from The Boyz! Jake is elated... until Annie leaves the room.

Turns out Jake and The Boyz had a major falling out a few years ago. The Boyz felt like Jake ditched them, while Jake was upset because The Boyz talked too much smack about Annie when they broke up, and when they got back together he felt weird bringing her around. But there seems to have been a big misunderstanding - The Boyz never hated Annie, they were just supporting their broken-hearted friend!

"Is there anyway we can squash this beef?" Jake asks.

"Sorry Jake, no way we can squash a beef," replies Daniel. "Unless there was no beef to begin with!"

And with that, The Boyz are back in town and vow to "drink till they die"... or at least through the night, up until Jake and Annie's early-morning meeting with their wedding planner. As much as Annie doesn't enjoy being puked on first thing in the morning, she's just glad Jake has reunited with his buddies.

Meanwhile, Gil is on a weight-loss kick, only instead of eating healthy and exercising, he's started drinking - and selling - Shake Tech shakes. He even convinces Dennah to get in on the shake business. Dennah then tries to get Annie, Kay and Kevin 1 in on the shake trend, but Kay sets her straight.

"Girl, you're in a pyramid scheme!"

Across town, during a golf crawl with The Boyz, which is a bar crawl with golf rules, Jake decides to ask his pals to be his groomsmen. But before he can read his touching speech, he spots his old college flame Susie in the corner. The Boyz invited her to the bar to set them up because they hate Annie.

"She's a bat-mouthed fun burglar!" Daniel explains. Apparently The Boyz think Annie is making him lame and that he doesn't know how to party like he used to.

Furious, Jake storms out of the bar. Back at the apartment, he has to break the bad news to Annie that The Boyz hate her. She doesn't want to come between him and his friends, but Jake reassures her that she's more important, and plus, he has Gil!

Speaking of Gil, Dennah is furious with him for sucking her into the Shake Tech scheme. Gil is in over his head, so Dennah comes up with a plan to storm the Shake Tech offices and go head to head with those corporate bastards! Only, when they storm the offices, they find out that their sort-of friend Libby Berman is the corporate bastard they're up against. They try to give her a piece of their mind, but somehow get stuck with more boxes of shakes - this time in two kicky new flavors!

Back at the apartment, Annie walks in on Jake trying to play poker with his new best friends, "The Broz," a sad, weird crew of misfits Jake cobbled together. Furious, and frankly concerned, Annie storms the bar to give The Boyz a piece of her mind. After trading barbs, she and The Boyz decide to play a Jake trivia drinking game, and whoever knows Jake better wins Jake.

After hours of spewing out esoteric Jake knowledge, it all comes down to one question...

"If one of Jake's Boyz was dating a fiancée that Jake didn't like but he could see that said Boy was happy, would Jake be supportive?" Annie asks.

"The answer is yes, yes he would," Daniel reluctantly admits, adding that The Boyz have been jerks and are really just jealous that Jake is moving on.

"So there really was a beef after all! With sort of an inner emotional sub-beef inside it!" Jake exclaims, asking The Boyz to squash said beefs.

"Consider all beefs squashed!" cry The Boyz.

As Annie and Jake recover from their Boyz-induced hangovers, Gil and Dennah stop by to report they have solved their shake problem! Turns out, Dennah is a hot girl, and, as Gil puts it, "hot girls have been selling crap to idiots since the dawn of time."

So they decided to sell their crap to the biggest idiots they knew - The Boyz!
