After last episode's cliffhanger, Thayer believes the threatening note Emma received is nothing more than one of Sutton's lying games. Emma is less sure but tries to put it from her mind while pretending to be Sutton during an important interview with a college scout at Ted's alma mater.

Char's home life continues to become more unpleasant, but her Aunt Rebecca seems to be her saving grace. Unfortunately, Char must leave town to be with her dad. Meanwhile, Laurel is devastated when Justin unexpectedly breaks up with her after missing their coffee date.

When Emma, Ethan and Thayer become convinced that Sutton is really dead, they begin to eulogize her in her bedroom. Moments later, Sutton appears in the door.
